Binary Bot, DBot and Deriv Bot: what is what
The names get used interchangeably, which is where most of the confusion starts. They are related, but not the same thing:
| Name | What it is | Files |
|---|---|---|
| Binary Bot | The original drag-and-drop bot builder from the Binary.com era, before the business became Deriv | XML |
| DBot | Deriv's own block-based bot builder | XML |
| Deriv Bot | The name Deriv now uses for its bot builder | XML |
| NexTrader Bot Hub | An independent builder and bot library that runs on your Deriv account | Imports XML |
The thread running through all of them is the file format. A strategy saved from any of these builders is an XML file describing its blocks — which is why an old bot does not have to die with the tool it was made in.
"Binary Bot login": how signing in works now
There is no separate Binary Bot username or password to find. Binary.com clients moved to Deriv, so every one of these tools signs you in with your Deriv account, through Deriv's official login page.
- If a site asks you to type your Deriv password into its own form, close it — legitimate bot tools redirect you to Deriv to sign in.
- If you have lost access to an old Binary.com login, use the forgotten-password option on Deriv's site with the same email.
- No Deriv account yet? Open one here — it takes a few minutes and starts with a demo balance.
Loading an old Binary Bot or DBot file
- Find the XML file. It is usually wherever your browser saves downloads, or in the folder a Telegram group or YouTube video sent you to.
- Open the Bot Hub and sign in with your Deriv account.
- Import the file from your computer. The blocks load into the workspace exactly as they were built.
- Check every trade parameter — market, contract type, duration and stake — before you press Run.
- Run it on a demo account first for a full session, however well it performed years ago.
New to Deriv? Open a free account in minutes and practise on a demo balance before trading real funds.
Create an accountWhy an imported bot misbehaves
Most "my old bot stopped working" problems come down to a handful of causes, and all of them are fixable in the workspace:
- The market changed. Deriv has added and renamed markets over the years. If a bot points at one that is no longer offered, choose the closest current equivalent.
- The stake is below the minimum for that market or currency, so contracts are rejected.
- The contract type or duration is not available on the market selected.
- A recovery rule doubles the stake after every loss. It looked fine in a short test; a long losing streak will empty an account. Put a hard stake cap and a stop condition on it.
A word on "dollar printer" bots
Bots with names promising money — dollar printer, money machine, no-loss — circulate constantly, often with screenshots of a winning run. A name is not a result, and a screenshot is not a track record. No bot can predict a random market; the ones that show smooth profits usually lean on stake-doubling that fails eventually.
Treat every shared bot as untested. Import it, read its blocks so you understand what it does, and run it on demo before real money. Trading Deriv products carries a high risk of losing your capital.
Where to find bots if you have no file
You do not need an old XML file to start. The free library holds 747 ready-made bots organised by contract type — Rise-Fall, Over-Under, Even-Odd and Match-Differ — and loads any of them in a click. Or build from scratch: our guide to what a Deriv bot is and how the block builder works covers the four block groups every bot uses.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still use my Binary Bot XML file?
Yes. Binary Bot and DBot strategies are saved as XML files, and NexTrader's Bot Hub imports XML directly, so you can load an old bot and run it on your Deriv account without rebuilding it.
What is the difference between Binary Bot and DBot?
Binary Bot was the drag-and-drop bot builder from the Binary.com era. DBot is Deriv's own block-based builder, now called Deriv Bot. Both save strategies as XML files built from similar blocks.
How do I log in to Binary Bot?
There is no separate Binary Bot login. Binary.com clients moved to Deriv, so bot tools sign you in with your Deriv account through Deriv's official login page. Never type your Deriv password into a third-party form.
Why does my old bot not work anymore?
Usually because the market it points at has changed, the stake is below the current minimum, or the contract type is not available on that market. Update the trade parameters in the workspace and test on a demo account.
Is the dollar printer bot profitable?
No bot can guarantee profit, whatever its name. Bots marketed with winning screenshots often rely on doubling the stake after losses, which fails during a long losing streak. Test any shared bot on a demo account before using real money.
Is the Bot Hub free?
Yes. Importing your own XML bots, building new ones and the 747-bot free library cost nothing. An optional premium pass adds 520 further strategies. You always fund your own Deriv account separately.
